Stage Door Players has developed a new children's series, dubbed Stage Door Jr.

Stage Door Jr. is programming specifically developed for our junior audiences and their adult guests. Stage Door Jr. will bring the finest children’s entertainment groups in the Atlanta Metro Area to perform on a Saturday afternoon every other  month at 1:00 pm.

Tickets are $7.00 for junior audiences and $5.00 for their adult guests.

The Suitcase Circus

Animals and Tightropes and Cannons, Oh My! Recycled stuffed animals become second hand stars performing silly circus acts that will amaze, astound, and awe! Some featured acts include a tightrope walking elephant, a giraffe on stilts, a lion taming act, and a daredevil leopard who shoots himself out of a cannon to the other side of the room!

A combination comedy-theater, puppets, magic, music and animation! This show is about a young boy who is raised by a circus of misfits, The audience and cast of characters help the Boy discover his destiny. The Animated characters on the big screen actually interact with the audience and Sean, then with a Little magic, they come right out of the screen as puppets! There is Ella the elephant whose bad allergies causes her to spray the audience with water when she sings! There is also a lazy lion with curlers in his hair and a crossed eyed acrobat swinging through the air, this show is loaded with laughs and audience participation!

Pinocchio

Recycled thrift store items are given new life in this fantastic retelling based on the Collodi classic text. Found-object puppet characters are constructed from various recycled things like kitchen utensils, and baskets. In addition, this one man “tour de farce” combines authentic Italian music, Commedia-style mask work and lots of audience participation!
